Releases New Section 125 Regulations
The IRS released new
comprehensive proposed regulations for Section 125 Cafeteria Plans
today which will be published in the Federal Register on Monday,
August 6th. The new rules replace all previous guidance issued

COBRA Notice Regulations and Model Notices
Effective for Plan
Years Beginning after November 25th, 2004. There is much more to the new
regulations than just the DOL Model Notices. To comply with the new rules,
employers must send 2 new COBRA notices ( a new termination notice and
unavailability of coverage notice), implement new written procedures related to
how the employee or beneficiary notifies the employer of certain events, and
